MARKERS COURSE
HOME STUDY MATERIAL
The Marker's Course comprises:
Day 1
Morning in the classroom covering Laws with which a Marker should be familiar
Afternoon on the green going through measuring scenarios

Day 2
Morning - theory exam, multiple choice with law numbers required
Afternoon - practical assessment, acting as a marker for a mock game
​
For all sessions on the green bowls whites should be worn. Please keep an eye on the weather forecast and bring clothing for wet weather if necessary.

In order to complete the course in this timescale, candidates must study sections 1 - 8 below before attending. Existing markers will also find this useful to refresh their knowledge.
On successful completion of the markers course candidates will:
Receive a badge and certificate
Be able to purchase a CBUMA tie or cravat
Be able to attend the CBUMA AGM
Be eligible to take the Umpire's Course
